Wondering what to do this October Long Weekend?

September 23, 2019| Edgewater Shores

The October long weekend is almost here (5-6 October 2019) and it looks like there'll be plenty of activities around the NSW Mid-North Coast to keep you occupied and to make the most of the three days. If you're around Black Head for the Sunday markets, pop by and take a look at Edgewater Shores while you're there.  We'll be available on site all day to answer any questions and show you around. If Sunday doesn't suit, we're also available any time over the weekend by appointment. Hope to see you there!

Don't have time to see us 😔 check out some other things to do in and around Diamond Beach.

Black Head Bazaar: Known as the best market in Manning attracting visitors from near and far, the Black Head Bazaar has been running for almost 30 years and is only 5 minutes from Diamond Beach.  The Bazaar is held the first Sunday of each month, 8am to 1pm from September to May and is located at Wylie Breckenridge Park, Black Head.

The Bazaar is a community market organised and operated by Hallidays Point Landcare Group and has an extensive variety of stalls selling fresh farm picked produce, plants, handmade clothing and jewellery, homemade cakes, slices and biscuits.  Even food stalls and fresh roasted coffee to satisfy your hunger and caffeine cravings.  Get directions here.

Old Bar Beach Festival: Only a 30 minute drive North of Edgewater Shores, this annual community event attracts thousands of people and has a huge range of market stalls, food stalls, local wine and produce tasting, live music, amusement rides and even a fireworks display. A great day out for the family!

The Old Bar Beach Festival has a variety of events programmed for Saturday and Sunday 5-6 October 2019.  More info is available from: oldbarbeachfestival.com.au

Spot some whales: Whale watching season runs from March to November and Diamond Beach and the Mid-North Coast is known to have many sightings throughout these months. Make the most of these last weeks by keeping your eyes peeled from the shores of Diamond Beach, or many other locations up and down the Mid-North Coast.  If you want to book a whale watching tour, there are a number of operators running from Forster.

NRL Grand Final: It's that time of year again. The NRL Grand Final takes place on Sunday 6th October. Kick-off is at 7:20 pm and will be played at the ANZ Stadium. What better way to enjoy the long
weekend than to kick-back, flick to Channel 9 and watch the NRL Finale. Who will you be cheering?

Relax! With not much rain being forecast into October, it definitely looks like it could be beach weather over the long weekend so keep an eye on those forecasts. Why not relax on the beach, go for a nice walk and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation time. Diamond Beach is a beautiful 6-kilometre beach and definitely worth a visit.

Whatever you do this October long weekend, we hope you have a great one and hope to see you at Edgewater Shores. Give us a call if you are going to be nearby so we can ensure you get the full guided tour.  There has been a lot going on at site over recent weeks. Construction has started on the final stages and our first house has broken ground.
