Construction Progress November / December 2018

December 20, 2018| Edgewater Shores

Construction on Stages 1 and 2 continues as we head towards Christmas. Even with some recent rainfall the works are still on program for completion in February 2019.

The photo below was taken on 22 November 2018 after some heavy rain. The retention basins are working to restrict the flow of water runoff from the rain. The basins, once complete, will be dry and only fill during periods of sustained heavy rain.

The hardstand for the contractor's plant and equipment illustrated below is located along the westerly boundary of the site. The entrance road off Diamond Beach road can be seen. The intersection will be widened to allow cars to turn right into Edgewater Shores off Diamond Beach Road. The large fig tree in the south-west corner of the site has been securely fenced off to prevent any damage during the construction works.

The photo below is the site facing south towards Forster taken on 18 December 2018. The progress of the western boundary footpath can be seen.

Final grading of the road sub-base along Shores Crescent is illustrated below. The construction of the road base course began the following day.

The roller (illustrated below) is giving the road sub-base surfaces a roll before the road construction commences on the entrance of Faintail Rise and Shores Crescent.
